the free life

I have been married for almost two months now and I have loved every minute of it.
This is my precious husband - John.

John works full time at Madison Park Church of God in Anderson, IN. We moved to Noblesville (20 minutes away from Anderson) and started our life together.

We are blessed beyond what we could ever dream. We live in a beautiful apartment and have money in the bank. But just like any other family, single person or couple we are on a budget. I was worried it would feel so tight. I won't lie, I love being spoiled.

My love language is gifts, so all the little surprises and treats meant so much to me when we were dating. I was worried I would have a hard time with this *budget*(insert disgust here). But to my delight it has been fun! I have loved surprising John with great dinners for under 5 dollars, picking my own flowers to decorate with, going on "one dollar shopping sprees".

These last two months have taught me that some of the best and most beautiful things in the world are free and ready to be taken. So while this blog is not all about free things - it is about living freely and enjoying your life with the resources you have.

  4. I feel like we should be friends- sorry if I am now creeping you out. :P

I so understand the gift love language thing! I have always been spoiled (my family, my friends, my husband). I didn't get to celebrate my birthday this year- and it has still taken a toll on me (and that was back in Aug!)

Due to the want for savings, and someday a house (oh yeah and all those bills ;) We are both trying to focus on the joys that God gives us. After all, it's all of the little things in life that truely make us happy- it;s the moments we spend together that we remember forever (although.. my crystal lamp that I got for our anniversary is a memory I will have forever as well)
Other things to note: I love how real you are in your blog, spell check is my bff too, and we just moved to Noblesville in Aug. Just a fun fact.
